Independent Research Program
Introduction

The Independent Research Program (IRP) is a traditional course in my high school, providing an opportunity for students to conduct an independently-led academic research project based on their own academic interests.
My First IRP

In 11th grade, my research focused on areas like Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, and Psychology. My research topic was Double Consciousness: The Comparison Between Mongolian-Chinese and African-Americans in Ethnic Identity. Du Bois's perspective on the formation of African-American ethnic identity in the early 20th century mades me also think about my own ethnic community. The abstract of my paper is shown below.
My Current IRP

In my senior year, based on a similar academic motivation from my own identity as Mongolian-Chinese, I am conducting a research project about Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, and International Relations. The topic is Dynamism of Cultural Influences: Cultural Impacts on the Sino-Mongolian Collaborative Relationship. After being tutored by my teacher from my “China's Foreign Relations” course,  I finished my abstract and an academic poster summarizing the research. The academic poster is shown below.
